About us
International Environmental Educational, Advisory and Information Centre of Water Protection Vodňany (IEEAIC) was established in 2014 following the reconstruction of the historic Broků Mill. The centre focuses on environmental education, public awareness, and the popularization of science in the fields of water protection, aquatic life, and sustainable water management.
Thanks to our modern facilities, we offer a diverse range of activities:
- Seminars, Workshops, and Conferences
We organize professional events on current environmental topics, ranging from one-day workshops to multi-day conferences, including international events. - Programs for Schools and Educational Institutions
We offer interactive and residential environmental education programs for children and teachers from kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, extracurricular groups, and other educational organizations. - Lifelong Learning
We organize educational programs for various age groups, including the FROV JU Children’s and Junior University. - International Summer School
We host the FROV JU Summer School for students from around the world. The program combines research, field trips, lectures, and hands-on learning experiences. - Facilities and Accommodation
We offer rental of conference spaces (a hall for up to 100 participants and two classrooms for 25 and 45 participants) as well as accommodation for the public (36 beds available).

The centre is located in the attractive location of the Vodňany town in South Bohemia, close to ponds and fish farming facilities of the faculty and within walking distance of the city centre. The building meets the energy audit thanks to the gentle heating with heat pumps.
The centre has a wheelchair access.
The “MEVPIS FROV JU project” was implemented as a part of the Operational Programme Environment (OPE), which was approved in 2012. The total project expenditure was CZK 43,365,798 of which CZK 29,346,069.17 was eligible (OPE). Ineligible expenses (financed by the FFPW USB) amounted to CZK 14,019,728.83.
