About us

The International Environmental Educational, Advisory and Information Centre of Water Protection Vodňany (IEEAIC/MEVPIS) was established in 2014 by the reconstruction of the former Brok’s mill. We are one of the workplaces of the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters of the University of South bohemia in České Budějovice (FFPW USB/FROV JU) in České Budějovice and we focus on education, training and popularization of science in the fields of water protection, aquatic animals and water friendly management. Thanks to the modern background, we fulfill our goals through:

The centre is located in the attractive location of the Vodňany town in South Bohemia, close to ponds and fish farming facilities of the faculty and within walking distance of the city centre. The building meets the energy audit thanks to the gentle heating with heat pumps.

The centre has a wheelchair access.
